This is my blog where I talk about online marketing and ways of increasing visibility by creating solid relationships with people and businesses across the web. I will cover some of the tools, techniques and people that I have found most helpful. I will also feature outstanding things I find people doing in various fields repurposing old models into something new.

I came online in 2008 to understand how to leverage the internet for business. I quickly found myself in the vortex of possibilities and people that make up the internet. I was quickly connected to some of the thought leaders of the day like Mari Smith, Simon U Ford, Gabe Strom, The Real-Tech Guy (Jonathan Rivera), Russell Yermal, Chris Lang, Bill Crosby to name a few.

I have trained under the best social media marketing and IM experts and entrepreneurs on the planet. I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs and business owners grow their business using online and mobile systems and tools. I share my knowledge through consulting and mentoring. I am especially good with those who are total beginners.

I have worked over 20 years in the charitable sector supporting adults with developmental disabilities. I believe that in creating inclusive communities we leave the world a better place to live. I love that web 2.0 and social media have flat-lined the world making it more accessible to more people than ever before. Social networking today seems to be the greatest tool we have for creating a fully globally conscious world.

I love learning and passing on what I know to help others get what they want. I believe that we are all interconnected and if we work together, great things can occur. From where I sit, the internet as a big role to play in it.

Today I help small business owners and especially local bricks and mortar businesses harness new media to generate leads and new customers so they can spend more time with their families

Current Projects

  • I am presently mentoring and offering services to local businesses wanting to generate more leads through online visibility and mobile marketing.
  • Completing a co-authored Kindle Book on Youtube Marketing for Business with The Media Mama Joelle Norwood
  • Coordinating the Canadian arm of the Chris Lang’s G+Busters road trip.

    Hi Rebecca. Jumping in here to pick your brain about your Thesis setup - I like it. Specifically the featured post. I want that for my blog too but obviously I haven't tweaked the right settings. And v1.7 seems to not make things any easier with even more options.
    So if you get time to sketch out the appropriate settings and shoot it to me in an email (stewjshaw at gmail dot com) that'd be great & much appreciated. Or point me to a URL of somebody (a non-developer?) who explains it properly. I find that so often those clever developers jump into concepts that are beyond mere morals like me to comprehend.
